AFC Leopards suffered a 2-1 defeat against Bidco United in a Kenyan Premier League match at St. Sebastian Park in Murang’a on Sunday, December 10, 2023.

The game, hosted at the home ground of Premier League debutants Murang’a Seal, saw no goals in the first half, and the teams entered halftime with a 0-0 tie.

Speedy winger Shariff Musa, who joined the Oilers from Kariobangi Sharks in August 2023, opened the scoring in the 58th minute and then forced an own goal from Ingwe two minutes later.

Victor Omune reduced AFC Leopards’ deficit in the 72nd minute, setting up a dramatic ending to the game. However, despite the hosts finishing the game with ten men, Ingwe couldn’t secure a second goal.

AFC Leopards have won only one game this season out of 14 played. They lost five and drew eight matches. The solitary victory was a 1-0 result away to Nzoia Sugar in October 2023, secured with the help of a penalty.

The 1998 champions have struggled, scoring nine goals and conceding 14. They have accumulated a total of 11 points and currently occupy the 15th position on the 18-team log, following a six-match winless streak.
