17-year-old house girl arrested for abducting two-year-old baby in Nakuru

A house girl is in police custody at Kabarnet Police Station following her arrest for allegedly abducting a two-year-old boy from Nakuru.

Marion Chepsergon, 17, from Tiriondonin, Ossen location in Kabartonjo ward Baringo North, is suspected of stealing Carolyn Kipnaigei’s son. The child had been missing for two days before Chepsergon’s apprehension.

According to the mother of the baby, she left for work on Wednesday 9am as usual and later in the evening, she came home only to find out that the house girl together with the baby were missing.

She reported the incident at Workers Police Patrol Base Nakuru where police started tracking the suspect to Eldoret and later she was arrested at Kabarnet.

Baringo County Police Commandant, Julius Kiragu, revealed that Chepsergon claimed she was kidnapped and abandoned in Kituro, Baringo Central. However, authorities have cast doubt on her story.
