20 Million views in 20 hours: Trump’s Joe Rogan episode goes viral

The highly anticipated episode of The Joe Rogan Experience featuring former President Donald Trump has taken the internet by storm, racking up over 20 million views on YouTube in just 20 hours.

This skyrocketing viewership has quickly made it one of the most popular episodes in the history of Rogan’s podcast.

Further surpassing his typical audience numbers, which usually cap around a few million per episode.

Trump’s appearance drew even more viewers than the much-watched Game 1 of the Yankees vs. Dodgers World Series, which saw 15.2 million views.

Making the interview one of the year’s biggest media moments. Throughout the expansive, three-hour discussion, Trump and Rogan tackled an array of topics.

From UFOs and assassination attempts to energy policy and beached whales—captivating an audience hungry for his unfiltered thoughts.

Trump didn’t hold back on Vice President Kamala Harris, questioning her ability to handle an in-depth, unstructured interview like Rogan’s.

“Can you imagine Kamala doing this show? She’d be lying on the floor,” Trump quipped.

He suggested she wouldn’t endure the pressure, sparking a lively response from listeners and Rogan himself.

Rogan quickly countered, expressing his openness to hosting Harris.

“I could imagine her doing this show… I would try to have a conversation with her like a human being,” he said, noting that he still hoped Harris might accept his invitation.

Despite encouragement from both political figures like Andrew Yang and supporters online, Harris’s team cited scheduling conflicts as the reason for her absence.

She instead recently appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast, which amassed 687,000 views over three weeks, a stark contrast to the millions Rogan garners.

Trump’s episode joins Rogan’s list of record-breaking moments, potentially climbing toward his top spot, held by Elon Musk’s viral appearance in 2018.

After years of mutual hesitation, Rogan finally brought Trump on the show, telling him,

“Once they shot you, I thought, ‘he’s gotta come in here,’” explaining his shift in perspective.

With viewership still climbing, the blockbuster episode further intensified the public’s call for Harris to make her appearance, and Rogan himself remains hopeful:

“I would have a conversation with her like a human being.”
