24-year-old passes on after a heated confrontation with his 70 year old Uncle.

70-year-old Patrick Gichobi confronted his nephew in the evening which would tragically end up in a death.

The uncle Patrick Gichobi from Kirinyaga allegedly picked a quarrel with his nephew after a night of drinking at a local joint.

Family members, led by Margaret Waguama shared the unsettling details recounting how the dispute escalated to a tragic climax.

Fatal night for Uncle in Kirinyaga

In a shocking twist, the elderly Patrick Gichobi, seemingly overcome by the intensity resulted to taking matters into his own hands.

According Margaret, Gichobi reached for a kitchen knife and fatally stabbed his young nephew in a bit to settle the quarrel.

The aftermath revealed a heartbreaking scene where the 24-year-old lay in a pool of blood.

Unfortunately, the nephew would succumb to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Kerugoya Hospital.

Adding to the turmoil, the uncle fled the scene launching a police manhunt to bring him to justice.

Pattern of attacks

Peter Wanjohi, a local resident revealed a troubling pattern observed from the elderly Uncle Gichobi.

He stated, “It is not the first time that the accused has attacked someone. He is fond of attacking people when drunk.

Throughout the night, the close-knit Togonye community united to find the fleeing uncle but to no avail.

The incident has left the village in shock and grief, with lingering questions and unease as to where Patrick Gichobi could be hiding.

Police in the area are still holding active manhunts to locate the uncle and bring him to justice.
