Police in Machakos county have arrested a woman after she made claims that her husband had killed himself.
This was after she told police that her husband stabbed himself on the chest using a kitchen knife before he bled to death.

However, further investigations led the police to hold the 25-year-old woman as the prime suspect in the murder of her husband.
The unfortunate occurrence transpired on the night of Sunday March 10, 2024 in Machakos.

Local authorities who went to the scene found the body of the deceased on the sofa.
The deceased had a vicious stab wound on the neck.
In addition, the victim’s right hand was deeply stabbed.
Residents were shocked by the incident, since the couple rarely engage in quarrels.
Residents also noted that the woman had been seen attempting to flee from the scene twice after recording a statement with police.

What the Machakos Police said
Police noted, they were still investigating the matter to determine the cause of the killing and arrest suspects involved in the unfortunate incident.
The body of the deceased was moved to the Machakos hospital mortuary, awaiting post mortem.
