Police in Mbooni East, Makueni County have arrested a 32-year-old woman who is accused of murdering her 82-year-old husband.
Confirming the incident, area assistant chief Albanus Mutula said the couple argued over Ksh3000, with the husband accusing his wife of stealing the money.
The wife, Syombau Musau, reportedly stoned her husband on the back leading to his immediate death.
The woman is currently in custody at the Mbumbuni Police Station as she awaits to be arraigned in court.
The man’s body was taken to Tawa morgue, as the administrator advised residents to resolve conflicts peacefully without resorting to harmful actions.
Also in Kochogo village located in Nyando Sub County, Kisumu, police are looking for a suspect who allegedly stabbed a man to death in a suspected love triangle.
Otieno,24, the victim, passed away shortly after being taken to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital.
The area chief, Alfred Ondola, mentioned that the altercation leading to the stabbing incident was due to a dispute over a woman.
“The assailant then drew a knife and stabbed the deceased in the stomach,” Ondola added.
The suspect who was positively identified, fled the scene, leaving the victim injured. Meanwhile, police are actively pursuing important leads to apprehend the suspect.
