34 boys left homeless as fire razes down children’s home in Kamulu

Police are investigating an incident where fire ravaged a children’s home in the Kamulu area, Nairobi County, resulting in significant damage.

The fire erupted at the Made In The Streets Children’s Home on Sunday, July 21 evening.

Police reported that 34 boys were present at the home during the incident, and all were accounted for.

The home’s management stated that the fire began in the Ndovu dormitory before an alarm was raised to prevent its spread.

A Nairobi County fire engine responded and successfully contained the blaze, but not before it had destroyed property of unknown value.
