49 passengers escape unhurt as bus bursts into flames on Narok-Maai Mahiu Highway

Forty-nine (49) passengers on Tuesday, August 29 night escaped death by a whisker after the bus they were travelling in burst into flames.

In an unexpected incident, the bus – belonging to Ena Coach Company – burst into flames at Nairegie Enkare area in Narok County on the Narok-Maai Mahiu Highway.

According to police, one of the front wheels of the bus got a puncture and the driver pulled over to change it.

But in the process of changing the tyre, the vehicle caught fire.

Fortunately, all the occupants were able to escape unhurt from the bus that was travelling from Nairobi to Migori.

Their luggage was also secured.
