‘700 women left my church because of my new wife’ -Pastor Ng’ang’a

Pastor Ng’ang’a, the founder of Neno Evangelism, has recently opened up about one of the most challenging periods in his ministry’s history, a time when he lost a significant number of congregants following his decision to introduce his new wife to the church.

Ng’ang’a, known for his fiery preaching and larger-than-life personality, is no stranger to controversy.

However, the events that unfolded after he remarried were particularly testing for both him and his ministry.

The pastor, who had been widowed, remarried in a ceremony that was met with a mixture of joy and skepticism by his followers.

The trouble began when Pastor Ng’ang’a brought his new wife to the pulpit to introduce her to the congregation.

The move, which he had anticipated would be a moment of shared happiness, instead became a flashpoint for division within the church.

Many congregants, who had been loyal followers for years, were reportedly taken aback by the suddenness of the introduction and the perceived lack of sensitivity to the memory of Ng’ang’a’s late wife.

According to Ng’ang’a, the backlash was immediate and severe. A significant number of his followers decided to leave the church, expressing their discomfort with the way the situation was handled.

“When I wanted to marry my wife, this church had a big problem,” he explained.

The church was so flooded. Several women had been approaching me, because when you have an anointing and also wealth, women come into your life.

They are everywhere. So when I unveiled my wife, believe me or not, 700 women stood and walked away.”

These included female ushers and other key members who had been part of his ministry for years.

“They knew my first wife was dead and had hoped I would pick them,”

Even ushers walked out, wondering why I couldn’t have picked them,” he added.

Despite the difficulties, Pastor Ng’ang’a and his new wife continued to serve the church.

Over time, the congregation slowly began to rebuild, attracting new members who were inspired by Ng’ang’a’s resilience and commitment to his calling.

The pastor has since expressed gratitude for the trials he faced, stating that they strengthened his faith and deepened his understanding of leadership and humility.
