The family has organized a harambee at Mbotela Social Hall and a candlelight vigil ahead of the requiem mass, set for Thursday at Uhuru Estate.

On December 21, Rachel, Otuoma’s wife, shared the devastating news of his passing on her social media pages.

In a deeply emotional tribute, she expressed her eternal love for her late husband.

Revealing that he passed away on her birthday. Despite the pain, she promised to cherish every moment they had shared.

The family spokesman emphasized their progress in the preparations, highlighting the importance of community support through the harambee.

“We are making good progress. Right now, we are short of about KSh 1 million, but we believe the harambee will help us hit our target,” he said confidently.

The timeline for Otuoma’s farewell has been carefully planned.

After the requiem mass on Thursday, his body will be moved from the morgue to Kisumu on Friday, where final burial preparations will take place.
