An 85-year-old man was left in tears of joy after his grand daughter took him to the iconic Santiago Bernabéu to watch Real Madrid play in the new unveiled stadium.
Sandra Aliste took her grandfather Miguel to watch Real Madrid’s mouthwatering clash against Getafe at the 85,000 capacity stadium, a match the home side won 2-1.
In a viral video captured and share by the club, Miguel could not believe his eyes when he first saw Madrid players out warming up ahead of the Laliga clash.
The octogenarian couldn’t hold his tears when the match started to a point he confessed that he couldn’t stand his emotions anymore.
“I can’t stand this. If I die today, I’ll die a happy man,” Miguel told Sandra.
As the match progressed, the old man joined his fellow Madrid fans in chatting the famous #HalaMadrid slogans before England international Jude Bellingham scored the winner in the second half sending the whole stadiums into raptures.
After the match, Real Madrid invited Miguel to their museum to view their trophy cabinet before taking him on a stadium tour on Monday evening at the club.
The 14-time Champions League winners even awarded Miguel with a customized number home 10 jersey.
The Miguel’s video clip has caught the attention of the whole football world including Bellingham who reposted the clip on his X account saying, “This is what it means! Absolutely love this.”
