Accomplished actor and singer Sanaipei Tande has blasted Sports Secretary Ababu Namwamba over his words at the 2022 Kalasha Awards.
The songstress stated that a year later, nothing of what CS Ababu stated he would do has been remotely realized.
Tande has put Ababu on blast on social media via post her post on X social media.

CS Ababu Namwamba attended the 2022 Kalasha Awards where he made key promises to the winners and the performers fraternity.
“We have doubled cash rewards for winners in all 39 categories this year as the first step in ensuring pesa mfukoni for artistes. We must unleash the full potential of the creative industry,” Namwamba stated in 2022 according to the Daily Nation.
Some of the noteworthy winners during the 12th edition of the Kalasha Awards were actor, Sanaipei Tande, directors Eugene Mbugua, Abel Mutua, and Joe Kinyua from Njoro Wa Uba.
“1 year later no prize money and no communication on the same from @kenyafilmcomm @KalashaKenya or @AbabuNamwamba but 167M set aside for #KNT renovations in bids to develop and nurture NEW talent!” Sanaipei shared.

Kenya National Theatre closed
Consequently, the National Theatre was closed down on 16 November for 6 months to give room for renovations.
Moreover, this comes in the backdrop of a recent facelift of the national theatre which saw millions dished out to facilitate its modernization.

Shortly after the CS Ababu would face intense backlash from parliament over his operation and spending at his ministry.
