Kenyan actress and content creator Nyaboke Moraa is enveloped in deep sorrow following the devastating loss of her eldest child, Marrie Achieng.
The heartbroken mother has turned to social media to share her grief and commemorate her cherished 19-year-old daughter.
In an Instagram video, Nyaboke Moraa reveals a glimpse of happier times. The clip shows her participating in a challenge where she introduces someone special, and her daughter Marrie makes a touching appearance.
The two share a heartfelt embrace while Nyaboke sings along to the song “Huyu hapa huyu, nampenda.” The video serves as a bittersweet reminder of the joyful bond they shared.
This emotional post marks Nyaboke’s first public acknowledgment of her grief since the passing of Marrie was made known by her close friend, Sandra Dacha.
The sorrow of losing Marrie is compounded by the recent death of Nyaboke’s brother, adding layers to her profound mourning.
In the wake of this tragedy, colleagues and friends from the entertainment industry have come together to offer prayers and support, rallying around the ‘Tahidi High’ actress during this incredibly difficult period.
Nyaboke’s baby daddy, Blakaende, has also expressed his deep sadness over their daughter’s death through a moving social media post. “It’s a dark day. I can’t question God. I leave everything to Him,” he wrote, capturing the weight of his grief.
Nyaboke had first introduced Blakaende to the public in June 2021, celebrating him on Father’s Day and acknowledging his dedication to their daughter. “To the father of our only daughter. You are a super dad, I appreciate you for the sacrifices you make for our children.”
“I could never ask for a better daddy for them because you are the best daddy… may God continue filling your cup. Happy Father’s Day Jakisumo,” she wrote at the time. She also noted that she became a mother earlier than anticipated, with a heartfelt message to Blakaende: “Lakini ulinidanganya nikakuwa mama mapema sana yawa… God bless you osiepa (my friend) @blakaende.”
Nyaboke Moraa is a mother of four children, with her third and fourth children fathered by the late Benjamin Ayimba, a former Kenya rugby coach.
Nyaboke and Ayimba’s relationship began shortly after her divorce from her first husband, leading to a shared life of eight years before their separation in 2018.
The circumstances surrounding Marrie Achieng’s death remain unclear, leaving fans and fellow celebrities offering their sympathies and support to Nyaboke Moraa during this profound period of loss.
This marks the second tragic loss for Nyaboke’s family this year, following the recent passing of her elder brother.
The devastating news of Marrie Achieng’s death was announced by Moraa’s best friend and actress Sandra Dacha.
