The Administration Police Service (APS) Bomet Football Club has landed in a Ksh 5.5 million sponsorship deal for the 2024/2025 season with WR Bet, an online betting platform. The agreement includes an additional Ksh 270,000 for new team kits, aimed at enhancing the club’s performance and operations.

The sponsorship is expected to support APS Bomet’s bid for promotion to Kenya’s top-tier football league. WR Bet Regional Director Vadim Daianov stated that the collaboration is intended to help develop local football talent and improve the team’s prospects.

“This partnership is an important step in our efforts to support community sports. APS Bomet has demonstrated strong potential, and we are keen to contribute to their growth,” said Daianov.

Assistant Inspector General of Police Stephen Etyang acknowledged the sponsorship, noting that it would provide much-needed financial support for the team. “The team has faced financial challenges, and this sponsorship will help them work towards their goals,” he said.

APS Bomet CEO Rose Chemtai highlighted that this is the club’s first major sponsorship. “This support comes at a crucial time and will provide a boost to the team’s efforts,” she stated.

The sponsorship will contribute to improving training facilities, providing modern kits, and supporting grassroots football development. Additionally, it will increase WR Bet’s visibility through APS Bomet’s digital platforms and match venues. APS Bomet currently ranks second in the National Super League standings with 50 points, one behind league leaders Nairobi United after 24 matches.
