Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has publicly announced that he is done pursuing socialite and businesswoman Huddah Monroe.
In an Instagram comment that quickly gained attention, Salasya declared that he has officially disassociated himself from the high-profile socialite, opting instead to return to more “local” romantic interests.
“Hawa wenye hukulwa na pesa mimi siezani”
“Wataangusha serkali afadhali nirudi kwa vienyeji yangu ya kawaida”
“I officially disassociate myself from this chick”
“Any comment I made that hearted any of my kienyeji outside here please forgive ilikuwa tu mambo ya social media”
“Forgive me nyinyi ndio munawezana na mimi”
“Huyu anataka watu wa wash wash ndio wako na pesa ya kuaribu”, the outspoken MP said
The candid remark comes after weeks of public speculation surrounding a potential relationship between the politician and Monroe.
Peter Salasya’s decision to part ways with Monroe has sparked widespread reactions, especially on social media, where fans and critics alike have weighed in on his candid remarks.
MP Peter Salasya went on to add, “Sahizi I want to focus on wife material, socialites wabaki socialites” making it clear that his romantic interest has now shifted toward women who align more with his idea of a potential life partner, rather than those who chase fame or live in the public eye.
Huddah Monroe is yet to comment on the MP’s remarks, and her silence leaves the nature of their relationship unclear.
Salasya’s strong stance suggests that his commitment is now firmly toward his work and finding a more grounded partner.
Nevertheless, Peter Salasya’s public disassociation has garnered attention, with many praising his commitment to his work while others speculate on the actual dynamics behind the scenes.
As the story unfolds, Kenyans will be watching closely to see if this chapter with Huddah Monroe is truly closed for the colorful politician.
