Over 4000 Arsenal fans from Kenya and seven other African countries are gathering in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, for a series of activities, including charity events aimed at strengthening their bond and forging a strong support base to help the less fortunate in society.
Speaking at the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute, the fans who participated in a charity event, which included blood donation at the facility, emphasized that the bond created in 2017 during the first meeting has led to various community-building activities in different countries across Africa.
During the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute event, Arsenal fans contributed Tsz—16,000,000 (ksh.843,000) towards reconstructive surgeries for children. The host country decides on the charity events, while other participating countries contribute to the noble cause.
Other events on the calendar include inter-country tournaments and watch parties. The Gunners fans are expected to watch the Manchester City vs. Arsenal match at Berra Beach tonight. They are confident of an Arsenal win.
