Kenyan businesswoman Akothee has shed light on the unseen struggles that many celebrities endure.
Further urging people not to be misled by the glamorous images they see online.
According to her, fame does not always equal wealth or happiness.

“You can be famous and still broke. Fame is not the same as wealth, riches, or liquidity.
We are celebrated for our talent, inspiration, comedy, or motivation, but that does not mean we are immune to struggles,” she shared.
She cautioned against the assumption that a lavish lifestyle brings happiness.
Emphasizing that some celebrities suffer from loneliness and depression despite living in luxury.
“People living in mansions can easily fall into depression because they are detached from the real world.
A big house does not mean a happy life.
True comfort comes from being in a place where you feel loved and at peace,” she added.
Behind the glamour: struggles public figures face
Akothee revealed that many celebrities battle depression due to the pressure of constantly being in the public eye.
While their social media portrays a perfect life, the reality is often different.
“When the cameras are off, our lives can be just as messy,or even worse than yours.
We argue with our spouses, some of us pack and leave our homes daily, only to return and put on a brave face for the public.”
Financial struggles are another hidden reality.
She disclosed that many public figures struggle to pay rent, bills, and medical expenses just like anyone else.

Some have had to distance themselves from their families for the sake of their mental health.
Others are silently dealing with baby mama or baby daddy conflicts that only become public when they explode in the media.”
The truth behind the perfect image
Akothee warned that much of what people admire about celebrities is merely for show.
“Some of us have been evicted for failing to pay rent. Some are drowning in bank debts.
Others are secretly struggling with medical conditions, but we must always appear strong.
Some are in dead relationships but keep up the act because breaking up would mean losing business opportunities.”

“SHOWBIZ is SHOW & BUSINESS. Once the cameras stop rolling, we return to our normal lives.”
Stay focused on your own journey
Akothee urged people not to be pressured by social media or compare their progress to what they see online.
“Never let social media pressure you into thinking you are behind in life.
Most of what you see is an illusion. Live your life at your own pace, and remember, we are all just works in progress.”
