Musician cum business mogul Esther Akoth alias Akothee divulged that she decided to move back to the village upon meeting her husband.
Speaking on TV47’s digital show ‘Unfiltered with Gachambi’ Akothee narrated her 14-year journey towards acquiring her degree.
This journey was completed when she relocated to her village, Migori.

“When my partner came into my life, we decided to relocate to the village because I am a farmer and he also loved farming.”
Akothee had eight pending units on her Business Management degree.
“One day I was driving to Kisii for shopping and I saw Mount Kenya University.”
“I had some four units pending and I decided to branch and see if it was possible to transfer my credits.”
“I met a gentleman called Mr Chepkeres and he told me he would enquire but he thought it was possible.”
“That is how I landed back to MKU, Kisii campus and finalised the eight units.”
“I will be graduating in December and I am already enrolling for my Master’s in Strategic Management.”
“I am heading towards Dr Akothee. I need a title beside Esther,” she said on Unfiltered with Gachambi.
Akothee is married to Denis Schweizer alias Omosh. She is in partnership with MKU Foundation and has so far sponsored five students to school.
