What happens if a flight door is opened mid-air

When a flight door is opened mid-air, an explosive decompression would occur.

Anyone standing near the exit could be thrown into the sky. The temperature inside the cabin would drop very fast, causing frostbite.

The plane might even start breaking apart.

Japan plane fire

The incident occurs days after a Japan plane crashed after it caught fire.

“Right after the plane touched down, the pilot felt a sudden shock, and lost control to stay in the runway. A fire took place but the pilots didn’t recognize it in the beginning and learned about it through the cabin attendant,” said Japan Airline spokesperson.
