Ali Kiba set aside past differences with Diamond Platnumz to celebrate his rival’s latest success.
Diamond’s hit song “Komasava” gained global attention, even catching the eye of American RnB star Chris Brown, who danced to it during his 11:11 tour.
Speaking at the launch of his radio station Crown FM, Ali Kiba expressed happiness over Chris Brown’s gesture, praising it as proof of Tanzanian music’s global reach.
“Seeing Chris Brown enjoy ‘Komasava’ shows Tanzanian music is on the global map,” Kiba remarked.
He acknowledged Diamond’s achievement, highlighting how the song has resonated worldwide and elevated Bongo Flava’s prominence internationally.
“Diamond has really outdone himself with ‘Komasava.’ It has touched many people, and seeing Chris Brown play his song makes me happy.
Diamond represents Bongo Flava, our homegrown star, and we are proud of him.
I hope to see more foreign artists playing Tanzanian songs—it’s a big win for all of us and shows our musical talent and hard work,” Kiba concluded warmly.
