Kenyan socialite Amber Ray (real name Faith Makau) has lashed out at critics who speculated her baby girl did not resemble her father Kennedy Rapudo.

The couple recently revealed Africana Rapudo’s face in a lavish event at their home sending the internet into a frenzy.

Before the big announcement, Amber Ray bragged saying the event had to be top notch as she bore the child of a rich man.

“Nakwambia mtoto ni wa tajari so it had to be something huge ama ni aje? I am in love, hope mtapenda and even if you guys don’t like it I don’t care because I totally love it,” she wrote.

Amber Ray and businessman Kennedy Rapudo invited their fellow celebrities to the event as they made the big reveal to their over one million fans on Instagram.

“As she grows, I witness the evolution of a young soul navigating the journey of life. She is not just our daughter; she is our co-pilot in this adventure, teaching us the profound lessons of love, resilience, and the unbreakable bond that ties us together.

“@iam_amberay you’ve done so well with this beautiful soul so far. Congratulations,” Rapudo told his fiance. 

The mother of two opened up later, saying she knew her critics were ready to label her as a prostitute if her child with her fiance did not resemble him.

“Najua wasio nipenda walikua wanangoja @africanahrapudo akose kufanana na babake ndio waniite malaya kweli kweli lakini Mungu ni nani?

(I know those who do not love me were waiting for Africana Rapudo not to resemblle her father so they can really call me a prostitute but who is God?)” she wrote on Instragam.

Amber Ray gave birth to her baby girl on May 12, 2023.

In an interview in September 2023, the socialite disclosed that she would have been a mother of three. She suffered a miscarriage when she got pregnant for her ex-boyfriend Jimal Rohosafi.
