American actress, singer cum comedian Jenifer Lewis opens up about a near-death experience she had while on vacation in Tanzania, 2022 during a tv interview.
Jenifer Lewis revealed that about that time, she had just wrapped up the long running show she was on ‘Blackish’ and was looking forward to unwind by exploring Africa and it’s countries.
It was until her trip to Tanzania that the unfortunate happened.
“I was walking and all of a sudden I had fallen 10 feet into a dry ravine full of boulders and stones and sharp rocks, I fell off the balcony.” Jenifer recounts.
Upon being asked to explain the type of pain she experienced, she proceeds to say that she was in shock and didn’t even had the strength to scream for help.
Jenifer went on to narrate how, as she laid there helplessly on the ground, wild animals were roaming outside.
In one instance, she revealed that her friend Lori spotted a buffalo and even heard a lion’s roar.”
“My last thought, because I am Jenifer Lewis was ‘the king ate the queen’ what a headline, ” she joked.
“The past year was the hardest for me.”
“I didn’t know you could be in that much pain and be alive,” she added. “I went from that high kick standing on my star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, five months later, I was on the ground of the Serengeti and that same leg couldn’t move.”
Lewis said she was rescued by Maasai warriors who fiercely protect local wildlife and airlifted to Nairobi.
Videos of her recuperating after the fall were posted on her social media.
