Amos Rono, the groom at the heart of the cancelled Bomet wedding, has finally broken his silence on the matter that left many hearts wondering.
The anticipated celebration came to a halt when the bride revealed she had feelings for someone else.
In the wake of a shattered heart, Amos Rono gracefully released Nelly Chebet from their relationship, wishing her success in her future endeavors.
“I’ve let her go with a clear heart. I forgive her, even if her words were said in haste. I’ve moved on, and may she thrive in all her pursuits,” Rono expressed with a heavy heart.
He emphasized that their relationship had been smooth, expressing gratitude towards the bride’s father who, till the last moment, was convinced the wedding would proceed as planned.
“She was meant to be my wife, and her father had complete faith in that. I appreciate his unwavering support,” Rono acknowledged.

Communication from the reverend on Thursday sealed the fate of the postponed wedding, revealing that certain crucial details were yet to be finalized.
Pastor Chalulot disclosed, “We’re hopeful for reconciliation. There are pending details required for the wedding to proceed, and we’re allowing them time for that.“
Adding, “Our prayers are with them, and we believe the wedding will happen in the following weeks.”
Financially, the preparations had incurred an expense of Sh50,000 out of the total Sh300,000 raised for the celebration, marking a substantial investment in an event that now hangs in uncertainty.
