Manchester United’s goalkeeper, Andre Onana, has taken full responsibility for his mistake in Machester United’s 4-3 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
The shot-stopper described it as “one of the poorest performances” he has ever delivered.
Andre Onana who moved from Inter Millan during the summer transfer window, committed a disastrous error when Leroy Sane’s shot inexplicably slipped under his body to open the scoring for Bayern.
“The team was really good but it was because of me we didn’t win this game.
“I have a lot to prove. My start in Manchester has not been good or how I want. The way I played today was one of my worst games.
“It’s difficult as we are a big club that wants to win everything. It was a good opportunity to bounce back after the situation we are facing – it’s a tough time, we have to be together and continue to work hard.”
Despite the Cameroonian’s admission of the mistake, United’s Manager Erik Ten Hag has insisted that it is a collective responsibility.
United has had poor defensive formation since the beginning of the season, but there is nothing much the technical bench can do until the next transfer window.

Andre Onana was in the spotlight in his Premier League debut, where Wolves were left without a late penalty despite the goalkeeper’s foul on Sasa Kalajdzic.
Additionally, he allowed a long-range lob to get the better of him in a pre-season friendly against Lens.
