Anita Brown, the American socialite whose claims of pregnancy with Nigerian artist Davido stirring controversy, has issued an apology to Chioma, Davido’s wife, in a heartfelt statement.
Anita, also known as Nina, expressed deep regret for targeting Chioma during what she described as a challenging period in her life.
Ms. Brown intimated that she had genuinely loved Davido and “losing” him tore at her heart.
“I am going through a traumatic and tragic time in my life, I honestly don’t want to speak on it and don’t need to or have to speak on it. It is too much to bear right now,” started the American socialite.
In her lengthy Instagram post, Anita clarified that her intention was never to criticize Chioma or mention her late son.
Anita had attacked Davido noting that his son’s passing away was God’s way of punishing him for being a bad person.

She attributed her actions to overwhelming feelings of betrayal by the “Risky” hitmaker, whom she genuinely loved.
“I find myself in the midst of a traumatic and sorrowful chapter in my life, one that I’m not ready to discuss or share at this moment.
“The weight is too much to bear,” confessed the American socialite, indicating the pain she was going through.
Anita acknowledged that despite the recent events, her heart remained troubled, and she felt most remorseful for turning against another woman.
“I am disquieted by all of the events that have taken place. The only thing I will say is I regret that I let my pain and feelings of betrayal allow me to turn me against another woman.“
She offered a sincere apology to Chioma, stating that her words were never meant to target her or her child.

So, I apologise to Chioma. I never intended to speak on you or your child. Losing is never a good feeling, being hurt by someone you love and care about is not a good feeling.“
Adding, “Moving forward, I would prefer to be known for the light I bring into the world. Peace & Love,” the rest of her post read.
She also expressed her desire to be known for spreading positivity and love moving forward.
On her Instagram stories, Anita shared messages related to dealing with dishonesty, moving forward, and prayers.
One of these posts was titled “Knowing when to walk away prayer,” while another focused on the theme of self-recovery.
However, some individuals on the internet remained skeptical of Anita’s apology, perceiving it as an attempt to regain influence.
Netizens are however not feeling Anita’s apology and some still hold the notion that it’s a clout chasing attempt.
Consequently, others marveled at Chioma’s ability to drown out the noise and stick with her man despite the controversy.
In this turbulent chapter, Anita sought to make amends and find a path towards healing and growth, hoping for understanding and a chance to rebuild her reputation.
