Police on Wednesday found yet another body dumped on the roadside in Gwa-Kiru Juja, Kiambu county just days after another gruesome murder of 20 -a-year-old JKUAT student was found dismembered at an Apartment building on TRM drive at Roysambu.
However, the Juja body which belongs to a woman is yet to be identified as police are still carrying out investigations.
Leaves of muguka, a variety of khat, also commonly known in Kenya as ‘Jaba’, as well as some ground nuts were also found at the scene, where the naked body of the deceased was found lying when police arrived at the scene.
Confirming the incident Juja sub-county Police Commander Michael Mwaura said that the body had visible physical injuries and bruises on the face and that the surrounding area showed signs of a struggle.
It is not clear if she was assaulted before the murder.
No arrests have been made, although the body was taken to General Kago funeral home in Thika County for post-mortem an identification as investigations go on.
This now adds to another case of femicide reported in the last three weeks of this month all of which happened gruesomely. The public is now living in fear while hoping the police will be put an end to this.
