A section of Amani National Congress (ANC) Party leaders now want Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya to apologise to Prime Cabinet Secetary Musalia Mudavadi and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula.
The party leaders, drawn from Kakamega County, want the county boss to apologise over his constant lashing out against the two leaders, which they say are demeaning and insulting to them.
Speaking in Kakamega town on Thursday, May 16, the leaders — led by Shinoyi-Shikomari-Esumeyia Ward MCA Bonface Akosi — downplayed Governor Natembeya’s ‘Tawe Movement’ as an initiative that lacks direction and only meant to insult prominent figures from Western Region.
Should he continue with the trend, the leaders say that Governor Natembeya might compromise the unity of Mulembe Nation, and derail the chances of a person from the region taking over the leadership mantle of the country from President William Ruto.
For months now, Governor Natembeya has been directing his attacks against Wetangula and Mudavadi, accusing them of being selfish and not assisting Western Kenya people despite being in government.
In a previous interview on TV47, Natembeya claimed that Mudavadi and Wetangula are using the huge voting block from the region to gain political mileage, while doing nothing to improve their lives.
