Apostle Ansel Madubuko on Wednesday, March 27 shared his life story on TV47’s Dr. Ofweneke Tonight show, revealing his past involvement in Freemasonry.
At just 21 years old, he joined the fraternity and actively participated in its rituals. By the time he was 23, he had attained the title of “Master Mason.” However, he admitted that Freemasonry exposed him to dangerous influences that significantly shaped his early years.
A prophecy and a turning point
Madubuko told Dr Ofweneke that at 25, he had a shocking revelation where he foresaw his own death. This prophecy, he says, shook him to the core and forced him to re-evaluate his life choices.
He recalled his wild youth as a DJ and music presenter, a period filled with reckless partying and indulgence. However, this vision made him question his future and seek a different path.
Madubuko also disclosed his leadership role in a university-based confraternity known as the Capon of Pirates. This group engaged in heinous activities without consequences, causing fear among students and significant disruptions on campus.
In addition to this, he held high-ranking positions in student organizations. Despite his influence and power, he admitted to feeling an overwhelming emptiness. No amount of status or control could fill the void in his heart.
A life-changing encounter
Madubuko’s transformation began when a young man approached him and shared words of wisdom that left a lasting impact. This encounter introduced him to the love of Christ and the concept of true spiritual protection.
The young man urged him to seek God’s guidance instead of relying on worldly power. As a result, Madubuko deeply reflected on his life choices and realized that drugs, alcohol, and wild parties could not provide true fulfillment.
“The Christian Union members were afraid to preach to me because everybody knew I was going to hell. I knew I was going to hell. We used to party, but drugs could not cover the emptiness. Money, girlfriends, and even world parties could not fill my void. But luckily, God kept me alive. By 25, I was tired and had nothing to show for my life except hangovers and terrible feelings,” he shared.
Over time, Madubuko fully embraced Christianity and experienced a profound spiritual awakening. He described the transformation as life-changing, emphasizing that God’s love filled the emptiness he had always felt.
Today, he preaches about hope, redemption, and the dangers of seeking power through cults. He firmly believes that true protection comes only from Christ.
Prophecy and marriage to Emmy Kosgei
Madubuko later recalled meeting Kenyan gospel singer Emmy Kosgei during a service in Mombasa, Kenya. He was immediately drawn to her, though he initially knew little about her personal life.
However, a prophecy revealed that marrying her would bring him blessings. He pursued a relationship with her, and as he deepened his Christian faith, their bond grew stronger. Today, he sees his marriage as part of his spiritual journey and growth.
Finally, Madubuko urged young people to learn from his past mistakes. He advised them to avoid harmful affiliations and instead seek true spiritual transformation.
He emphasized the importance of guarding against negative influences and making choices that align with their faith and purpose in life. His story serves as a powerful testimony of redemption and the transformative power of faith.
