Arsenal might win the Premier League – Petr Cech

SportsWORLD

Former Arsenal and Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has tipped the Gunners to win the coveted Premier League title after coming close last season, losing to Manchester City by five points.

Arsenal last won the Premier League title in 2004. This is their most memorable triumph as they finished the season unbeaten, and no team has ever replicated that feat.

However, Cech, a Chelsea legend who moved to the Emirates in the twilight years of his career after winning it all at Stamford Bridge, is confident Mikel Arteta may bring the title back to North London after 20 years of drought.

“At this moment, I think Arsenal. This season it will be very close, but I think Arsenal might do it (win the league),” Cech responded on Monday Night Football when asked who will win the next league title first between Chelsea or Arsenal.

Confidence in Arsenal’s potential title challenge is on the rise following their impressive 6-0 victory over West Ham last weekend.

Not only did this win bring them level on points with Manchester City in second place, but it also matched the reigning champions’ goal difference.

While Arsenal still trail leaders Liverpool by two points, their performance since the winter break suggests they have the capability to embark on a winning streak that could secure their first title in 20 years.

Despite Manchester City’s dominance in recent Premier League seasons, with five titles in the last six years, bookmakers still favor them as the frontrunners to clinch the top spot.

However, with Arsenal’s recent form, their odds are shortening, making them a serious contender alongside Liverpool.
