Lesley Muturi, the son of Attorney General Justin Muturi, was reportedly abducted by individuals suspected to be police officers.
Lesley was reportedly abducted in Kilimani, Nairobi on Saturday, June 22, 2024.
The abduction was confirmed by Embakasi West MP and National Assembly Minority Deputy Whip Mark Mwenje, who disclosed that he witnessed the incident.
In a video circulating online, Mark Mwenje mentioned that he was trailing Lesley Muturi when unidentified individuals in plain clothes intercepted Lesley’s car, forcibly removed him from the vehicle, and drove away with him.
“My friend Lesley, the son to Justin Muturi, AG, has just been hijacked by the police here on the road. I was the one following him. This is his car, the police have taken him. We are here, and we are going to find you guys,” Mwenje said.
He also asserted that the individuals who abducted Lesley Muturi were police officers traveling in a Land Cruiser.
In the viral videos, Mark Mwenje stated emphatically that “the individuals who took Lesley Muturi were police officers.
He described the vehicle as a white Land Cruiser, an older model, and noted that the individuals were dressed in black and appeared to be in combat gear.”
Mwenje, who is closely associated with the Attorney General’s son, has taken a significant stance by voting against the controversial Finance Bill of 2024.
This decision likely reflects his opposition to or concerns about certain provisions within the bill.
