Kiharu member of parliament (MP) Ndindi Nyoro on Sunday March 3, 2024 urged Kenyans to avoid tribalism for the sake of promoting development across the country.
Nyoro who is also the chairman of the National Assembly’s Budget Committee made the remarks during a Sunday service at St. Andrews Bondo Catholic Parish in Bondo constituency, Siaya County, where he assured that the Kenya Kwanza government is committed to ensure all parts of Kenya are developed equally.
He stated that for Kenya to develop, all citizens and politicians must unite and avoid ethnic politics.
According to Ndindi Nyoro, all leaders should demolish the rigid identities around ethnicity by ensuring that they bring all Kenyans together.

The Kiharu lawmaker emphasized that this is a time for development, adding that development funds will be allocated to every part of the country irrespective of their voting pattern during the 2022 general election.
He took the opportunity to assure the first cohort of Junior Secondary school teachers who were hired on internship that they shall all be absorbed on permanent and pensionable terms in the next financial year 2024/2025.
In addition, Ndindi Nyoro disclosed that as a budget committee, they have already increased the allocation to the Teachers Service Commission by over Ksh46 billion out of which some portion shall go towards the absorption of the 26,000 interns.

On the other hand, President William Ruto has been asked to establish a diplomacy shuttle to campaign for Azimio leader Raila Odinga’s quest to become the next chairman of the African Union Commission.
Bondo MP Gideon Ochanda said that Kenya needs to accord Raila Odinga the full support for him to ascend to that top continental position.
His sentiments were echoed by Suba South MP Caroli Omondi who stated that Raila’s AU Commission bid is now a Kenyan project that is beyond political party boundaries hence the need for him to get full support of the government.
Meanwhile, Caroli Omondi called on the Kenyan leaders to be watchful with their utterances over Raila’s AU bid.
He asked politicians to shun reckless remarks that may jeopardize the Azimio leader’s bid, adding that the international community is currently following utterances that Kenyans are making about Raila’s AU bid.
