Police in Kasarani, Nairobi County, are investigating the death of a banker who reportedly fell from an apartment and died after a night out with a woman.

The 33-year-old man was captured on CCTV camera struggling to climb the stairs of an apartment in Kasarani after a night out with friends, including the woman who is a tenant in the apartment.

“I heard voices, but I couldn’t understand what was being said. I saw hands, and I called the caretaker fast. We saw his legs, and the caretaker tried to grab him, but he was gone,” recounted an eyewitness.

According to eyewitness accounts, the deceased banker was seen falling from the apartment’s third floor after having a heated exchange with his host.

CCTV footage further recorded the man at the basement of the apartment, crashing through the roof and iron bars before hitting the floor.

“I saw this lady who lives upstairs. She said she told the guy to leave his house, but he jumped,” concluded the eyewitness account.

Neighbours who rushed to the scene found blood oozing from his mouth as he struggled to breathe. He was rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The family of the late banker is now calling on relevant agencies to expedite investigations into the death of their kin.
