I feel that Barry Otieno does not understand his work as FKF CEO, this is according to Sports journalist Fred Arocho.
During his weekly sit-down on TV47’s Mchakamchaka, Fred Arocho called out FKF CEO Barry Otieno.

According to Arocho, Barry is misguided on what his responsibility is as FKF CEO which made him look out of place.
AdditionallyArocho also insinuated that Barry did not understand the limits of his powers as FKF CEO.

Is the FKF CEO ineffective?
The discussion on Barry’s effectiveness started after he intervened in FKF member team issues against the outlines of FKF rules.
According to FKF stipulations, FKF’s mandate extends to its member teams and goes no further than that.

In clear guidelines, FKF cannot interfere in its member’s affairs and in addition, in the running of its member team’s running.
In specific terms, FKF cannot dictate active monitoring of members of its member teams.
FKF CEO Barry Otieno intervened in Muraga Seals’ acknowledgment of Hussein Mohammed as its member stating that he was never one to begin with.

Is Barry trying to lock out Hussein?
From this incident, Fred Arocho called out FKF CEO Otieno for not operating within the guidelines of his position at FKF.
“Hapo ndio mimi huona Barry Otieno kama CEO wa FKF haelewi kazi yake vizuri,” Arocho fired out.
(In such cases, this is where I am convinced that Barry Otieno doesn’t understand his role as the CEO of FKF.)

Additionally, Archo has not been shy in highlighting that he was simply at the FKF SGM to ensure that the election went through.

With FKF remaining with two months to conduct its election, Kenyan football continues to hang in the balance.
