The 2024 BET Awards were live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, hosted by Taraji P. Henson.

Drake led with seven nominations, followed by Nicki Minaj with six. J. Cole, Sexyy Red, SZA, and Victoria Monét have five each, while 21 Savage, Beyoncé, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, Tyla, and Usher each have four.

Performers include Will Smith, who just released “You Can Make It,” along with GloRilla, Latto, Muni Long, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey, Monét, Lauryn Hill, YG Marley, Ice Spice, Tanner Adell, Tyla, and Megan Thee Stallion. “

The performances are going to blow us all away,” said Henson. “We got Will Smith, guys. I am so excited to see what he has up his sleeve.”

Usher received the Lifetime Achievement Award. “Usher is getting his flowers, and I’m so honoured to host the show where he’s receiving his flowers. It’s a proud moment for the culture,” said Henson.
