As a solo artist and a member of the internationally acclaimed group Sauti Sol, Bien has continually redefined contemporary African music.

His solo projects have been equally successful, with albums such as “Alusa Why are You Toppless” receiving widespread acclaim.

Bien’s hit songs, including “Nairobi,” “Lost & Found,” “Dimension,” and “Too Easy”, have resonated deeply with fans.

Bringing the glory home

His influence extends far beyond East Africa, making him a pivotal figure in the global Afrocentric music movement.

Notably, Bien was the only Kenyan nominee in this year’s Trace Awards in that competitive category, making his win even more significant.

African music is continuing to dominate global charts across genres like Afrobeats, amapiano, dancehall, bongo flava, and genge.

The Trace Awards & Summit recognizes the artists who have been at the forefront of this remarkable cultural wave.

Past honorees include global icons such as Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, Fally Ipupa, and Yemi Alade.
