Bishop Margaret Wanjiru’s church resumes operations

Bishop Margaret Wanjiru’s Jesus Is Alive Ministries church has seemingly resumed operations after demolition.

Taking to her Facebook page, the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) nominee announced an upcoming Sunday service at her church located along Haile Selassie Avenue in Nairobi CBD.

“We are in the Season of New Beginnings; come early and invite someone,” she wrote.

This came hours after changing tune on her stand against President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua for “abandoning” her.

Wanjiru, who campaigned for United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in the last elections, now said she will continue supporting the Kenya Kwanza government.

“I have much respect and love for His Excellency Dr William Ruto, our Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and their families.

“We started this journey towards building a better and a more prosperous Nation together and we shall finish well, together,” she added.

Two days earlier, a seemingly bitter Wanjiru withdrew her support for the two leaders and UDA in totality after civilian-dressed police officers brought down a section of her church and mishandled her.

Bishop Wanjiru claimed she was assaulted by the officers as they forcefully ejected her from the premises amidst a land tussle with neighboring Kenya Railways Corporation.

“I wasn’t campaigning to be repaid like this. Sadly, this is the government that we campaigned for. I am yet to believe that they can do this to me. I am the one who sold UDA in Nairobi,” she stated.

She declared that she would withdraw her support after the horrifying experience.

“I was one of the founding members of UDA. I campaigned for a whole year when others came to just steal what I had worked for, yet I let go.

“I have loved you, my president. I have loved you, my deputy president. I have loved your family. When you call, I obey. But behold, from this day… tables are turning,” the preacher added.
