Blessing Karami, a university student, who was reported missing on September 11, 2023, has been discovered lifeless.

Blessing, a student at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), had been declared missing after her departure from her workplace in the Garki area of Abuja.

Her mysterious disappearance left her family and loved ones in a state of anguish.

Genesis Moses Karami, the elder brother of the deceased, had made the harrowing journey from Kaduna to Abuja to lead the search for his missing sister.

It was he who bore the devastating news, revealing that her decomposed body had been found in the thickets of the Karmo district within the Federal Capital Territory.

The ordeal had prompted the intervention of the authorities, with the police detaining one Aminu, who happened to be the boyfriend of the deceased.

He had been subjected to rigorous questioning regarding Blessing’s unexplained disappearance.

THE WHISTLER had previously reported that the 26-year-old Blessing had gone missing after leaving her workplace earlier than usual, clutching the office key, which had been an unusual occurrence.

Our Correspondent had visited the Divisional Police Headquarters in Durumi, where Aminu was being held, shedding light on the unfolding events.

Karami had been at the station, narrating to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) the distressing series of events.

Karami recounted a strange call he had received, claiming to have found a female body in Idu.

This call had led to an exchange of descriptions between the caller and Karami, culminating in an eerie realization that the caller knew exactly what Blessing had worn on the day she went missing.

However, as they attempted to follow up on the tip, the caller had continued to elude them, changing locations and toying with their efforts until they were left with no choice but to abandon the pursuit.

With a heavy heart, Karami revealed that they had discovered his sister’s decomposed body in the Karmo bushes, rendering it impossible to transport.

Instead, they had to make arrangements with environmental authorities to assist in its removal.

It had become evident that she had passed away several days prior, given the advanced state of decomposition.

Amidst this harrowing turn of events, attempts to reach out to the FCT Police command had proven futile.

Hope Jonathan, one of the police officers handling the case at the Durumi police station before it was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Development, could not be reached as of press time.

The discovery of Blessing Karami’s lifeless body has cast sorrow and grief over her family, leaving them to grapple with the haunting questions surrounding her untimely demise.
