Bodies of the eleven Kenyatta University students who tragically lost their lives in a road accident in Maungu area, Voi have been transferred to the mortuary at Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital.
The accident occurred when the bus, carrying public health students heading to Mombasa for an academic trip collided with a trailer.
It was confirmed by the County Police Commander Daffala Ibrahim.
42 other students who were seriously injured during the accident were rushed to Moi County Referral Hospital in Voi.
Kenyatta University Vice- Chancellor Prof. Paul Wainaina on Tuesday March 19, 2024, arrived at the Moi County Referral Hospital in Voi to check on the accident survivors.
Bodies of the deceased are being preserved at the same health facility, where the KU accident survivors are currently recuperating.
