The procession, starting at Pandya, passed through Moi Avenue, stopping at each temple he supported, with prayers offered at each site before continuing to the next.

The need for the Billionaire Hasmukh stop at Temple
Billionaire’s funeral procession includes stops at Temples benefiting needy residents.
During the funeral procession of the late Hasmukh Patel, the procession made a significant stop at a temple near the Royal Court Hotel, a place where many needy residents sought assistance from the generous tycoon.
Family members mentioned that this stop would be extended as it was where Patel often observed the charity work he supported.
The billionaire’s achievements
Known for his philanthropy, Patel, dubbed the ‘people’s billionaire,’ assisted numerous individuals with school fees, medical expenses, and essential supplies.
The procession continued to other temples in Nyali, concluding at the New Cutchi Leva Patel Samaj Hall on Links Road, where a service would be held.
This location also held sentimental value as it was where his son’s wedding took place.
The cremation ceremony, known as ‘mukhagni,’ would be conducted by a Hindu priest and senior family members at the crematorium, with only family members present for the event.
Leaders expected to attend the billionaire’s funeral
Reports suggest that President William Ruto is expected to attend the funeral before departing for China later in the day.
Among the prominent leaders include; Kalonzo Musyoka, Abdulswamad Nassir, Badi Twalib, Rashid Bedzimba, and Masoud Machele, are scheduled to pay their respects at the funeral.
MP Badi Twalib proposed honoring Patel’s legacy by erecting a statue, naming a road, or street after him.
