Brad Pitt speaks up after fan is scammed millions

A French woman’s dream of love with a Hollywood star turned into a nightmare, leaving her heartbroken, divorced, and nearly bankrupt.

The story began with an online encounter that spiraled into an elaborate and devastating scam.

It started innocently enough when the woman, Anne, was approached on social media by someone posing as Jane Etta Pitt, claiming to be Brad Pitt’s mother.

Flattered by compliments and reassurances that she was perfect for the actor, Anne was soon introduced to ‘Brad Pitt’ himself—or so she believed.

Their online romance blossomed, with ‘Brad’ professing his love and even proposing marriage.

But the sweet story took a sour turn when Anne was asked to pay over $13,000 in customs fees for gifts he supposedly sent her.

Believing in their connection, she complied.

The deceit grew deeper.

Over the course of a year and a half, the scammers, using AI-generated photos and fake accounts, convinced Anne to send a staggering $850,000 (Sh110 million).

They fabricated a tale of a financially strapped Brad Pitt, whose bank accounts were frozen due to his divorce from Angelina Jolie, and who needed funds for kidney treatment.

The scheme took a heavy toll on Anne, a 53-year-old interior decorator already grappling with mental health challenges.

Convinced of her love for the actor, she divorced her husband to pursue this seemingly magical relationship.

Reality struck when Anne learned of Pitt’s actual relationship with jewelry designer Ines de Ramon.

The shocking revelation exposed the elaborate scam, leaving her devastated.

Speaking out on French television, Anne shared her heartbreak and the profound betrayal she experienced.

A representative for the real Brad Pitt condemned the scam, stating, “It’s awful that scammers exploit fans’ connection with celebrities.

This is a crucial reminder to avoid unsolicited online outreach, especially from actors without social media.”

Anne’s story serves as a painful but important cautionary tale.

It highlights the dangers of online scams and the emotional vulnerability scammers exploit.

Her hope in sharing her experience is to warn others not to fall prey to similar deceit and to remind people to approach online interactions with caution and skepticism.
