Five people escaped death by a whisker after their boat capsized at River Migori on Monday, December 4.
The Kenya Red Cross Society says that the boat mishap happened in Matanda area.
“Early this morning, a boat capsized at River Migori in Matanda. Thanks to the quick response and support from the community, five individuals were successfully rescued,” Kenya Red Cross says.
Unfortunately, one person is still missing after the boat accident.
“The Kenya Red Cross and the County Government have mobilized additional divers for continued search and retrieval efforts,” the society adds.
