An Instagram couple has come out to say that the husband has been drinking breast milk from the wife since 2017.
The mother of three, Rachel Bailey, 30 has been breastfeeding husband Alexander also aged 30 since 2017.
This all started when they went on a cruise but Rachel forgot her breast pump and was engorged after two days.
Onset of the breastfeeding journey
“When my middle child, Aria, now six, was breastfeeding, I went away on a cruise with Alexander,” said Rachel.
She says that they made this decision because she had an overproduction of milk. She was afraid of getting an infection.
“I was in so much pain and I was scared about getting an infection.”
“We decided that my husband was going to try drinking the milk to relieve me,” said Rachel.
Alexander loved breastmilk
To their surprise, Alexander liked the taste of her breast milk preferring it to cow milk.
“We were nervous about the idea of him breastfeeding from me but as soon as we did it, we realised it was perfectly fine,” she added.
Additionally, he credits Rachel’s breast milk as the reason why he has not suffered a cold in two years.
“He didn’t get a cold for two years after he started drinking my milk and so many people said his skin was so much better too,” said Rachel.
Birth of third born
Upon giving birth to their third child, her breast milk production increased. Alexander would breastfeed for breakfast, lunch and supper.
The breast milk production has however decreased so she is now just bnreastfeeding Alexander at night.
“I am sad that our breast feeding times have reduced now,” says Rachel.
“This is because I feel like it has taken away our routine of those blocks of quality time that we had together.”
The couple have however asserted that this breastfeeding ritual is not a sexual kink for them.
“I love breastfeeding him as it allows us to spend quality time together.”
“It’s definitely brought us closer as a couple,” she added.
