Burna Boy promises to return to Kenya with highly anticipated concert

Grammy award-winning Nigerian hitmaker Burna Boy is set to return to the stage in Nairobi on March 1st, 2025.

The highly anticipated news was shared by the artist himself via his Instagram account, sparking an outpouring of excitement from his fans.

Kenyans quickly flooded social media with expressions of enthusiasm, eager to see the Afro-fusion star perform live once again in Kenya.

However, some fans couldn’t resist jokingly referencing Burna Boy’s last performance in Kenya at the 2019 NRG Wave Festival, which had left many fans disappointed due to his late arrival.

Back then, Burna Boy took the stage in the early hours of the morning, leading one of his fans to write:

“We ni mkora tutalipa ukishaanza kuimba.” (You’re a trickster. We’ll pay once you start singing.)

Despite this playful banter, Burna Boy remains one of Africa’s most celebrated and influential artists.

His exceptional talent has earned him numerous accolades, including Best International Act at the 2023 BET Awards and Best Global Music Album at the 2021 Grammys.

Known for his electrifying performances, Burna Boy’s global success and unique Afro-fusion sound continues to captivate audiences worldwide, and he is set to reaffirm his status as a major musical icon when he returns to Kenya in 2025.

His upcoming concert promises to be a spectacular event, and Kenyan fans can’t wait to witness his energetic performance live.
