Petrol prices rise by Sh1.48 as diesel, kerosene drops-EPRA

The price of super petrol will increase by Sh1.48 per liter, while that of diesel and kerosene will decrease by Sh0.12 per litre and Sh0.5 per litre respectively.

This comes after the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority reviewed fuel prices that are effective 15th September to 14th October 2020.

In Nairobi, super petrol will costSh105.43, diesel will cost Sh94.51 while kerosene will cost Sh83.15.

In Mombasa, motorists will pay Sh103.05 per litre for super petrol, Sh92.15 per litre for diesel while residents will pay Sh80.78 per litre.

In Kisumu, the price of super petrol is Sh106.06 per litre, diesel will go at Sh95.35 per litre while kerosene will sell at Sh84.02 per litre.

Eldoret: Super petrol-Sh106.07 per litre, diesel-Sh95.36 per litre, kerosene- Sh84.02 per litre.

Nakuru: Super petrol-Sh105.15 per litre, diesel-Sh94.45 per litre, kerosene-Sh83.11 per litre.

According to the authority, the changes in fuel prices are as a consequence of the average landed cost of imported super petrol increasing by 2.65% from US$ 319.23 per cubic meter in July 2020 to US$ 327.69 per cubic metre in August 2020.

The landed cost of imported diesel decreased by 1.02% from US$333.27 per cubic metre to US$329.88 per cubic metre. Kerosene decreased by 2.06% from US$288.01 per cubic metre to US$282.09 per cubic metre.
