The Communication Authority of Kenya (CA) has suspended its Director General, Ezra Chiloba.
Chiloba was suspended following the authority’s board meeting held on Monday, September 18.
In his place, Christopher Wambua has been appointed, albeit in acting capacity until further notice.
Wambua has been serving as the Director of Consumer and Public Affairs at CA since 2016.
“I trust you will accord him the necessary support,” an internal memo — to all CA staff from Chairperson Mary Mungai — reads in part.
Chiloba has only served in the position for two years, but he was eligible to serve a renewable period of four years.
He took over from Francis Wangusi who retired in 2021.
