The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has officially released the fixtures for the highly anticipated 2024-25 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup quarter-finals.
The first-leg matches for the Champions League will take place on Tuesday, April 1, while the return legs are set for Tuesday, April 8, except for the clash between Orlando Pirates and MC Alger, which will be played a day later.
CAF Champions League Quarter-Finals
South African side Mamelodi Sundowns will host Esperance Sportive de Tunis of Tunisia at Loftus Stadium before traveling to Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi for the second leg.
Defending champions Al Ahly SC of Egypt will welcome Sudanese side Al Hilal SC to the Cairo International Stadium in the first leg before heading to Nouakchott, Mauritania, for the return match at Stade Cheikha Ould Boidiya.
Egypt’s Pyramids FC will take on Morocco’s AS FAR at 30 June Stadium before the return fixture at Stade d’honneur de Meknès.
MC Alger will host Orlando Pirates from South Africa at the Stade 5 Juillet 1962 in Algeria, with the return leg scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, at Orlando Stadium.
The winner of the Mamelodi Sundowns vs. Esperance tie will face the victor of the Al Ahly vs. Al Hilal matchup in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, the winner between MC Alger and Orlando Pirates will meet the advancing team from the Pyramids FC vs. AS FAR quarter-final.
CAF Confederation Cup Quarter-Finals
The first-leg fixtures for the CAF Confederation Cup are set for Wednesday, April 2, with the second-leg matches scheduled for Wednesday, April 9.
South Africa’s Stellenbosch FC will play defending champions Zamalek SC of Egypt at Cape Town Stadium, with the return leg at Cairo International Stadium.
Côte d’Ivoire’s Asec Mimosas will host RS Berkane of Morocco at Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny before traveling to Morocco for the second leg at Stade Municipal de Berkane.
An Algerian derby will see CS Constantine take on familiar foes USM Alger at Stade Chahid Hamlaoui, with the return leg at Stade 5 Juillet 1962.
Egypt’s Al Masry will welcome Tanzania’s Simba SC to the Suez Stadium, with the return leg in Dar es Salaam.
The winner of the RS Berkane vs. Asec Mimosas tie will face either USM Alger or CS Constantine in the semi-finals, while the second semi-final will feature the winner of Simba SC vs. Al Masry against the victor of Zamalek SC vs. Stellenbosch FC.
