CAF President to visit CHAN 2024 host nations Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda

The President of the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF), Dr. Patrice Motsepe, is set to embark on a three-nation tour this week, visiting Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda, the host nations for the CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024.

Dr. Motsepe’s visit will commence on Thursday, 19 December 2024, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, followed by stops in Nairobi, Kenya, and Kampala, Uganda, on Friday, 20 December 2024.

Purpose of the Visit

During his tour, Dr. Motsepe will Meet with government officials, football leadership, and local organizing committees in the three host countries,Inspect stadiums and training sites undergoing renovations to ensure readiness for the competition. he will also review facilities such as hotels, airports, and other infrastructure critical for CHAN 2024.

This visit follows the second inspection tour conducted by a CAF delegation in November, which assessed the preparedness of the host nations.

  • Thursday, 19 December 2024: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Friday, 20 December 2024 (Morning): Nairobi, Kenya
  • Friday, 20 December 2024 (Afternoon): Kampala, Uganda
