Members of the National Assembly from Rivers State in Nigeria, have urged President Bola Tinubu to stop former governor Nyesom Wike from creating a political crisis in the State.

The former Rivers State governor Wike, is currently serving in President Tinubu’s government as Minister of Federal Capital Territory.

The legislators’ plea comes at a time when Wike was being accused of sabotaging activities of Rivers State by inciting Commissioners in Governor Fubara’s Cabinet to resign.

Members of the National Assembly had led peaceful protests in Rivers State, in support of programs and activities of Governor  Siminalayi Fubara.

According to the legislators, the current Rivers State Governor Fubara is being intimidated by former Governor Wike, thus interfering with service delivery to the people.

Goodhead alleged that Wike only goes to Rivers State to disturb peace of the State, adding that President Tinubu should intervene to resolve the dispute.

“Because the next time he comes into Rivers State to disturb the peaceful people of the state we will not sit down and fold our hands anymore.

“Please instruct the security agencies to arrest the former governor of the state,” stated Goodhead.

On the other hand, Abiante echoed sentiments of Goodhead, adding that Fubara made the right decision to renovate the Rivers State House of Assembly complex.
