Cardinal Otunga girls suspended over lesbianism allegations

National NewsNews

Cardinal Otunga Girls High School in Bungoma County is battling with lesbianism, if the latest reports are anything to go by.

Eighteen (18) students have reportedly been suspended from the institution for engaging in lesbianism.

The students, Citizen Digital reports, were also found in possession of mobile phones, which is also against the school rules.

According to a parents who spoke to Citizen Digital on condition of anonymity, the said students were suspended on September 18, and were summoned for disciplinary hearing on September 28.

“At the hearing, students were harassed, forced to accept the allegations. Imagine a teacher threatening a child that ‘if you annoy me I will hit you’ some of them ended up accepting what was not true,” one parent said.

Lesbianism? Not true

Another parent alleges that during the disciplinary hearing, his daughter was forced to admit she engages in lesbianism acts after she danced “inappropriately” during entertainment.

“They had entertainment during a weekend, and were dancing. Has the ministry set up standards on how students should dance?”

The school principal, Mrs. Christine Sifuna, has refused to comment on the issue, replying only “Not true” when Citizen TV crew sent her a text message.
