Elseba Awuor Kokeyo, popularly known as Cebbie Koks, has been appointed as the Senior Protocol Officer – Coordination and Operations in the Office of Deputy President Abraham Kithure Kindiki.
The communications specialist, widely admired for her resilience and determination, now steps into a critical government role, solidifying her influence in Kenya’s public service.

Her appointment was met with enthusiasm from her close friend, Viscount K’Owuor, who took to social media to celebrate the achievement.
Koks is elated
In a heartfelt message, he described Cebbie as a relentless fighter who has overcome numerous challenges to reach this milestone.
“As a true friend, I’ve always known her as a resilient, sharp, and focused fighter, even when all odds were against her.
Words are insufficient to communicate our appreciation and gratitude,” he wrote.
Although Cebbie has not publicly addressed her new role, she responded in a way that speaks volumes—through a cryptic yet powerful Facebook post filled with Bible verses.
Her words reflected deep gratitude and unwavering faith, subtly acknowledging the journey that has led to this moment.

Message of faith and triumph
In her post, she shared: “Good morning. When people pray for your downfall, God simply reminds us that His ways are not our ways.
He says in Jeremiah 17:10: ‘I, the Lord, search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.’
And in Joel 2:25, He assures us: ‘I will restore to you the years that the locusts have eaten.’
He, the Lord, has a habit of turning tables, setting up feasts, and making your haters watch while you dine in peace. Blessed day ahead.”
Her words resonated with many, drawing admiration and praise from those who see her success as a testament to perseverance and faith.

Cebbie’s appointment is a significant milestone in her career, marking her transition into a high-ranking government position.
